We are excited to launch a new interactive storymap MarPAMM Irish Regions Introduction for the North Coast- North Channel, County Down- County Louth, Carlingford Lough SPA and Murlough SAC Regions. Our story map was designed for people to LEARN and explore the Seas around the MarPAMM Irish Regions and the Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) within them.
From our stakeholder engagement process and work with the three stakeholder steering groups (see here to learn more about the results) the need for increased knowledge awareness and information access on our MPA Network within Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is important.
Through the storymap you can explore some of the MPAs from the region, learn more about Marine Protected Areas and why we need them and discover the important role marine habitats and species play in our everyday lives.
