MarPAMM is celebrating World Ocean Day 2021 by launching a new film clip that explains what marine protected areas are.

Marine science undergraduate student Natasha Bryan from SAMS UHI interviews the MarPAMM case worker for Argyll, the chairman of the West Coast Regional Inshore Fisheries Group and an Oban High School pupil to explore the topic.

The clip was filmed on the shores of Loch Creran, a west coast of Scotland sea loch protected for its flame shell beds and geodiversity under Scottish legislation and for its biological reefs under European legislation. Click here for more information on Loch Creran.
